Changes from 2019

The new designs for the year include replacing the six-speed automatic transmission with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Sport trim level has been replaced by the ST. Many different driver-assist features are also now considered standard.

Trim Levels

The elegant-looking Edge comes in nine exterior colors and two interior color schemes along with four different trim levels.

  • 2020 Edge SE base models come with dual-zone climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, fabric upholstery, LED headlights and keyless entry along with push-button engine start. The infotainment system may be upgraded to include a rear-seat entertainment system. The two-row SUV has 39.2 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. However, folding the rear seats increases the space to an impressive 73.4 cubic feet.
  • 2020 Edge SEL models add LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights. The front seats are heated and have leatherette upholstery. The driver's seat is power-adjustable. There is also a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a nine-speaker stereo system. The rearview mirror dims automatically. By adding the Convenience package, consumers gain a power outlet, remote start, wireless charging, and a power liftgate. The Co-Pilot packages add intelligent cruise control, evasive steering assist and voice-activated navigation capability.
  • 2020 Edge Titanium models upgrade to a premium stereo system with 12 speakers. The interior also features leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel with powered tilt-and-telescoping capability. The driver's seat settings are stored in memory. West Chester drivers can also keep smartphones powered via the wireless charging pad. The liftgate is hands-free powered. The Titanium has 19-inch machined wheels. The trim level also includes a universal garage door opener and a standard power outlet. Possible upgrades include ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, navigation capability and 180-degree camera system with parking assist. Adaptive cruise control and adaptive headlights are other options.
  • 2020 Edge ST models add sporty seats to the interior. The vehicle itself gets performance brakes, ventilated front and rear brakes with red brake calipers, vented brake shields, an improved radiator that includes a brushless cooling fan. The performance package comes with 21-inch wheels. Otherwise, 20-inch wheels are standard on the ST.

Performance

The 2020 Edge comes standard with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 250 horsepower. The vehicles are front-wheel drive and have an EPA rating of 21 mpg/29 mpg. Opting for the SUV with AWD drops the EPA rating to 21 mpg/ 28 mpg. The ST level comes equipped with a 2.7-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder engine that provides up to 335 horsepower. The vehicle is also all-wheel drive and has an EPA rating of 19 mpg/26 mpg.

The ST level also comes standard with a trailer tow package that enables Chester County drivers to haul up to 3,500 pounds. The technological features of the package enable the SUV to adjust braking and engine torque to assist the driver in preventing trailer sway

Technology

Base models are equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen on the infotainment system, which is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The stereo has satellite radio and six speakers. The vehicle is Wi-Fi capable and has two USB ports.

Standard safety technology includes forward collision with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, lane-departure and lane-keeping assist in addition to having a rearview camera. The system has rear parking sensors and moisture-sensing windshield wipers.
