Ford recently revealed that the company produced over 1.8 million vehicles that were all manufactured in the United States last year. This is a whopping 130,000 more vehicles than even the country’s second-place company, making Ford take the lead as the U.S. automaker with the highest number of workers and US-assembled vehicles in the country.

More specifically, data from S&P Global Mobility confirms Ford's leading position as the number one automaker in the United States, with the most vehicles assembled, the highest number of hourly auto workers employed, and the greatest number of vehicles exported to other countries. Ford's commitment to investing and building in America is unwavering, with plans to add over 18,000 new U.S. manufacturing jobs over the next three years to produce both electric and gas-powered vehicles.

Last year alone, the company exported 260,000 vehicles built in the United States, including the Mustang, Explorer, and F-150. This is an astounding 65,000 more vehicles than the closest competitor. Ford proudly asserts that approximately one out of every seven vehicles made in the United States is exported.

Ford's commitment to the U.S. economy is clear with the creation of new manufacturing jobs across the country, including 6,000 jobs at Blue Oval City in West Tennessee, where Ford will manufacture the second-generation F-150 Lightning and batteries with partner SK On. Another 5,000 jobs will be created by the BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky, while 2,500 jobs are coming to the BlueOval Battery Park in Marshall, Michigan.

While many of the new jobs focus on battery production, Ford is also adding a third shift to the Kansas City Assembly Plant, resulting in 1,100 new union jobs. Employees at this plant will build the Transit and E-Transit. In addition, 1,800 union jobs are coming to the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, where Ford will manufacture an all-new electric commercial vehicle starting mid-decade.
