Reimagined and updated to better support you across daily adventures, the 2023 Ford Escape is here. From long commutes in traffic to road trips with friends to quick lunches with coworkers downtown, the new Ford Escape SUV is equipped to support you across any adventure.
Ford designed the latest iteration of this compact SUV with a reimagined and stylish new ST-Line series, an optional 13.2-inch display with cloud-connected SYNC 4 Technology, and new advanced driver-assistance system technologies. Celebrated new features include a sliding second row seat and hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine options.
The 2023 Escape Plug-In Hybrid model is designed with Ford’s innovative fourth-generation hybrid propulsion system, which includes a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine and electronic continuously variable transmission. The front-wheel drive hybrid model is projected to produce a combined system of 210 hp.
In gas-powered models, Ford built the new Escape with 180 hp in FWD and AWD versions for efficient power wherever you travel. And the new 2023 series offers no less than three models: ST-Line, ST-Line Select, and the flagship ST-Line Elite. The rest of the 2023 Escape range consists of Base, Escape Active, Platinum, and Plug-in Hybrid variants.
Base and Escape Active models come with the 1.5L EcoBoost engine with either front- or all-wheel drive. The Platinum edition arrives with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine with AWD and a hybrid powertrain option with either FWD or AWD.
Though all Escape SUVs get a makeover for 2023, the ST-Line versions get the most significant enhancements. Ford has prepared the Escape with 180 hp in FWD and AWD, plus the Escape Hybrid (only with FWD) is now part of the ST-Line family. The ST-Line Escape is equipped with a black mesh grille, a unique rear skid plate, and 18- or 19-inch wheels. The premium ST-Line Elite model provides an LED light bar placed between the headlights, and Ford used a monochromatic paint theme to give the vehicle’s exterior a cleaner look.
