Two Ford vehicles recently won North American Car/Truck of the Year awards. While the winning vehicles are different, Ford can still take pride and use the wins to suport some of its newest vehicles.
First, Ford won the 2022 North American Truck of the Year prize by reimagining what other automakers were doing and successfully raising the bar with superior performance and designs.
The 2022 Ford Maverick may be a small pickup truck compared to some, but its efficient size and surprising power has few rivals. Buyers can still find a Maverick with an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, But Ford already sold every hybrid Maverick it produced for the year. The company expects to start orders again in summer for the 2023 model year.
Ford also earned the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year award, and with a cherished classic, no less!
The 2022 Ford Bronco delivers the look of a reliable and rugged old-school SUV, earning a substantial design award from a judging panel of artists and architects to consider how well it represented a classic while still looking modern. The 2022 Bronco delivers an old aesthetic with new technology, including 360-degree off-road cameras and a terrain management system that compensates for any surface from sand to thick mud.
