The 2022 Ford Maverick has made a huge splash in the past year, offering Ford customers the best of both smaller cars and larger trucks. Building off of this success, Ford has just announced that for the 2023 model year, one of the hottest products Ford has to offer will be available on the Maverick– the Tremor Off-Road Package.

The Maverick and the Maverick Tremor will be available for retail order in September of this year. This truck is a great entry-level option for customers who are interested in greater off-road capability and bold styling, but who also want a compact vehicle that can fit seamlessly into their daily life no matter where they live. Once again, the Maverick provides an excellent option for people who need their vehicle to balance capability and day-to-day practicality.

With the Tremor Off-Road package, the compact truck gets a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine as well as an all-wheel-drive system, something new for the Maverick. Five selectable drive modes allow the driver to tailor the truck’s on-road and off-road capability to pavement, mud, sand or snow, and there’s even a mode for towing conditions. The truck gets a maximum tow rating of 2,000 pounds and payload rating of 1,200 pounds. Exclusive Trail Control also comes on the Maverick Tremor, a feature that is basically cruise control for off-roading.

The Maverick Tremor offers a rugged take on the truck with a unique grille finish as well as blacked-out Ford logos, headlamps and taillamps, and signature Tremor Orange accents on the two front tow hooks. There is also an available Tremor Appearance Package, which includes a Carbonized Gray roof and mirror caps and black side graphics on the hood and lower body. The interior styling features Black Onyx seats with stitched Tremor logos and Tremor Orange accents,  and the center console, register vents and door pulls reflect the new color scheme.

“Ranger, F-150 and Super Duty customers have embraced the unique off-road capability, technology and appearance updates found across our Tremor family of trucks,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck product marketing and brand manager. “Maverick Tremor delivers on this same promise with new functions and features designed for off-roading – all while keeping the truck’s signature size, affordability, and Built Ford Tough durability and capability.”

Production for the new Maverick will begin this fall, and order banks will be opening in September.
