Last year’s 2021 Ford Ranger is the perfect middle ground between size and power for customers looking for a pickup that’s larger than the Maverick, but not as gargantuan as trucks in the F-Series. This midsize truck can handle almost anything you can throw at it and has a healthy upgrade and aftermarket life. To emphasize its reliable capability, Ford brought the Skyjacker Ranger to the 2021 SEMA Show, a customized edition built for rugged off-road performance.

Located in West Monroe, Louisiana, Skyjacker Suspensions specializes in building lift kits for a wide range of trucks and SUVs, including Ford pickups. For the Skyjacker Ranger, the customization work supplied a matching, eye-grabbing red, black, and white wrap along its frame. The real winner, though, is the 6-inch lift giving lots of space for off-road tires with durable rubber that really grips the terrain and provides maximum handling.

Additionally, Skyjacker supplied an integrated WARN winch to rescue other drivers and vehicles (or itself!) along the backwoods or mountainous trail. Front and rear off-road bumpers take on the friction, small dents, and generally rough terrain along the Rubicon and Moab paths, and very-durable rock sliders to offer protection from any falling boulders.

Ford Performance Parts helped make the Skyjacker Ranger build, offering A-pillar lighting from RIGID Industries, a matching rooftop light bar, and a more durable diff cover. They additionally helped under the hood, giving the truck a Ford 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 a Power Pack performance configuration, plus a cat-back exhaust with black chrome tips.
