Ford’s upcoming SYNC 4 driver-assist system has recently teamed up with tech company INRIX in order to give future Ford customers cheaper options when it comes to fuel prices, electric vehicle charging, and even parking!
INRIX, INC., is a leading provider of connected car services and transportation analytics around the world. INRIX services will be available on upcoming SYNC 4-equipped vehicles like the Bronco two-door and four-door, Mustang Mach-E, and next-generation F-150.
As part of this new system, Ford drivers will have access to the latest available traffic, incident, parking, charging location, and fuel pricing information. In turn, this will help drivers to easily find and compare a multitude of options while on the road.
In addition, SYNC 4 will also combine voice recognition with internet search capability, ensuring that drivers and passengers will always have access to the most up-to-date information possible.
“Customers want connected vehicle technologies to work more like smartphones with real-time, personalized services – and that is exactly what SYNC 4 offers, including INRIX’s parking and fuel price innovations,” said Gary Jablonski, manager, Ford Connected Vehicle Infotainment Systems.
“For example, many F-150 customers drive from job to job in new areas where we can help guide them to gas stations and parking spots closest to them, or perhaps a bit further if they are looking for cheaper options.”
Since 2008, INRIX has played an important role in the development and evolution of connected vehicle technology. To remain at the forefront of this industry, INRIX collects billions of anonymous data points from a diverse set of sources each and every day.
Now, future Ford drivers will have a direct line to the best features available.
