The Ford Escape is fresh off an all-new redesign, and as such, it's about as close as perfection as it can get. That said, the 2021 Ford Escape still has a few new surprises for the coming model year. This year's Escape includes new convenience and comfort technology updates across multiple trims while still bringing familiar Escape efficiency and safety to the table.
All-New Cutting-Edge Features
The 2021 Ford Escape isn't shy when it comes to comfort and convenience technology. On this ride, futuristic features like adaptive cruise control and traffic-sign recognition will be available thanks to Ford Co-Pilot 360 Plus package.
The 2021 Ford Escape also offers the Technology package, which includes features like Furthermore, the Escape's Technology package will include features like a hands-free power liftgate and memory settings for the driver's seat and side mirrors.
There is also the 2021 Ford Escape Convenience Package, which offers a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, and LED exterior lighting. For a little extra style, this ride is also available with an all-new optional 190inch wheel design.
It's All About Efficiency
When it comes to cash-saving fuel economy, the Ford Escape reigns supreme. For 2021, Ford has expanded the availability of it's hybrid powertrain to both the SE and SEL trims. In addition, the hybrid powertrain is now standard on the Escape Titanium. Across all available trims, the Escape hybrid offers an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric range and an EPA-estimated 44 miles per gallon in the city.
Even without the hybrid, the Escape's efficiency still delivers. Its standard 1.5L three-cylinder front-wheel drive model gets 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for a combined rating of 30 mpg.
With the largest and most powerful Escape engine, turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with all-wheel drive, you can expect 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.
Escape to Safety
The Ford Escape has always prioritized driver and passenger safety, and the 2021 model of this iconic SUV is no exception.
Recently, this model has earned both a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award courtesy of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
No doubt these rewards are largely due to the 2021 Ford Escape's impressive array of standard driver-assist features like forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
